Introducing Songweald: licensed AI music for your content

The Long Table

Songweald is a licensed AI music library. We make instrumental tracks for people who need music they can use in their own content without an ongoing rights conversation.

The library currently has ten 8-bit chiptune tracks, each £9.00. They are instrumentals for video, podcasts, games and small business projects. If you are a YouTuber, a podcaster, an indie filmmaker or a small team making commercial work, they are built for the kind of monetised content where music rights usually become a problem.

How the music is made

Every track in the library is generated using AI. We say that plainly because it matters. These are not human-composed pieces, and we do not present them as such. The AI produces the compositions. Songweald selects the tracks for the library and grants the licence.

What you get

When you buy a track, you get a written licence to use it in your own content. The licence covers unlimited use in your projects and there are no ongoing royalties to Songweald. You pay £9.00 once for the track. The licence sets out what you may and may not do, in plain English.

We are not selling copyright. Songweald does not claim copyright over AI-generated compositions. What we sell is a clearly defined licence to use the track. That distinction matters, and we would rather be clear about it than pretend otherwise.

What it is for

These tracks are deliberately understated. They are designed to sit under narration, dialogue or gameplay rather than pull focus. The ten tracks cover a small set of scenes: combat and chase, village and everyday life, taverns, shops, victory, sorrow and endings. You can hear what each one is for on its track page.

What it is not

It is not a claim that AI music is the same as human composition. It is not a promise that no third party will ever make a claim about a track. It is a straightforward licence from us to you, with the terms written down.

If that is the kind of arrangement you need, browse the library and listen to the tracks.
