Every Songweald track comes with a written licence. This post explains the main points in plain English. The written licence is the definitive document; if anything here conflicts with it, the written licence applies.
It is a licence, not a copyright transfer
When you buy a Songweald track, you are buying permission to use it. You are not buying the copyright. Songweald does not claim copyright over these AI-generated compositions. The licence sets out what you may and may not do with the track.
What you may do
- Use the track in your own content. That includes videos, podcasts, films, games, presentations and social media posts.
- Use it in monetised content. Advertising, sponsorship and subscriptions are all covered.
- Edit, loop, trim and adapt the track to fit your edit.
- Use the track in content you make for clients, as part of your work for them.
- Keep using the content you have already published. The licence is perpetual.
There are no ongoing royalties, no per-view fees and no renewal charges. You pay £9.00 for the track once.
What you may not do
- Resell, redistribute or sublicense the track as a standalone music file or as part of a music library.
- Claim authorship or copyright in the track itself.
- Use the track to train AI models or machine learning systems.
- Use the track in content that is unlawful, defamatory or promotes hatred or violence.
AI disclosure
Every Songweald track is generated using AI tools. We do not present the tracks as human compositions. If you describe the music in your own content, do not describe it as human-composed if that would mislead your audience.
What the licence does not promise
The licence is a permission to use the track. It is not a guarantee that no third party will ever make a claim about it. We cannot indemnify you against third-party Content ID false positives. If a platform flags a track, the written licence is your evidence of permission.

Tracks are delivered as instant downloads after payment. You receive WAV and MP3 320 files through the download link on the order confirmation page and by email.
